Our Children

You can see from our website who will care for your child, where they will be cared for, what they will eat and what variety of activities they will take part in during the day, including music. Each of our units plan trips out of nursery too which are great fun!

The children are cared for in 3 different units :

Babies and toddlers - Tiggers

2-3 year olds - Winnies

3-5 year olds - Pre-School

Once your child has gone to school they will not need to leave their beloved Scallywags because they can then attend our after-school and holiday clubs!

The after-school and holiday club children borrow the burrow area from Pre-School when they are at Scallywags. The burrow is a seperate area and houses the computer too.

It is not only children from the local area that attend Scallywags. We are set between 2 main routes into the city centre from the South of Sheffield and so children come from much further afield too.

Settling your Child

A few weeks before your child is due to start at Scallywags you will be invited to help your child settle in by visiting the nursery with them. Once you and your child are happy you can leave them for a short time. This allows you and your child to build confidence in your new surroundings and the staff, and you will become acquianted with the staff that will be caring for your child.
