Pre-School (ages 3-5)

Children move into Pre-School from Winnies at certain times of the year when they have turned 3 years of age. Children are cared for with a staff ratio of 1:8 in a group of 4 rooms. Pre-School has it's own bathroom area on the same floor.

Pre-Schoolers also have easy access to our all weather garden area which is staffed constantly so that children can choose whether to play outside or inside.

In this group the children can free flow between 3 of their rooms and outside as all areas are staffed. This allows the children to choose from a variety of activities at any one time. The music room is downstairs and the children visit that room for their music sessions.

Nativity Play 

At Christmas time the children who attend our Pre-School have the opportunity to participate in our annual nativity play that is held at the Salvation Army on Psalter Lane. The children begin practising the songs in September and perform wonderfully when the big day comes. This is not a compulsory activity - although we have not had anyone opt out yet for any reason as it is such a wonderful opportunity for them - and you'll love it!

Trips out of nursery include the fountains at the Town Hall, story time at the library, a fun time in the park etc.
